John Leak

Channel Development Manager, Universal Robots

John Leak is the Channel Development Manager for Universal Robots, covering the Southwestern USA (TX, OK, LA, AR, UT, CO, AZ, NM). He is a life-long Texan, currently living in Dallas. After graduating from the University of Texas, he has spent the last decade working in the manufacturing environment in various commercial and sales roles. John joined the Universal Robots team at the beginning of 2018 where he works to empower our customers and partners to improve their businesses and strengthen American manufacturing.

John Spruce

Founder & CEO, Kane Robotics

John Spruce is the founder and CEO of Kane Robotics. He is an experienced executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. John has successfully assembled and led diverse teams in the execution of complex business models that combine engineering, manufacturing and services as well as intellectual property development and licensing. He founded Kane Robotics in 2019 to leverage collaborative robotics to free up skilled manufacturing workers from dull, dirty and dangerous manufacturing tasks.

John began his career with roles in engineering and manufacturing at General Electric and Hughes Space and Communications. Prior to founding Kane Robotics, John served as CEO of Advanced Steel Recovery where he oversaw the installation of numerous large-scale automation projects around the world.

John has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles.
